2019 Golf R Sensors Location During Hitch Installation

Question:

The 2019 Golf R has sensors mounted on both sides. On the passenger side the factory mounting screws have a screw on both ends. The kit doesn’t come with those. Is it ok to reuse the factory screws even though the are shorter?

I don't see any mention of sensors on any of the instructions for the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 306-X7332. Is it possible they can be added on to the 1/2" hardware installed further toward the middle now like in the picture included? You want to use the hardware the hitch came with or you risk voiding your warranty on it and compromising the capacity of the hitch itself.

You also have the option of making your own bracket that would fit behind one of the provided fasteners as long as it was no thicker than a flat washer. This will allow you to position them back where they were without sacrificing any integrity of the hitch. If you could provide photos of the original location I may be able to help.
