Question:
I have a Featherlite 4 Horse gooseneck Trailer with living quarters that puts the deck at about 41 feet. Last fall I Installed a Furrion Vision S FOSO5TASF with rear sharkfin camera. I am considering installing the side marker light camera F48TASL to try to eliminate the blind spot when turning especially on the right side. My existing marker lights are at near the roof line at about 8.5 feet above the ground. I am wondering how accurate the sight picture will be? The rear camera is mounted at about the same level. There is very little options to mount them lower due to horse interference when tied to side of trailer. I have 3 existing side maker lights on each side, 1 ea front, mid-length and rear. Would it help to mount camera on mid-side, to get a view of that blind rear corners as you turn sharply into a service station for example. Or when backing into a parking area. I am ready to make the purchase if I can get some assurance that they will work. Another thought was to try another rear sharkfin camera mounted mid way on the trailer especially on the right side bad blindspot. Your recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

The Marker Light RV Side Cameras w/ Night Vision for Furrion Vision S Systems part # FCE48TASL are going to be an excellent option for the Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Backup Camera System part # FOS05TASF. I spoke with Furrion about how to mount them and they stated there would be no issue installing the camera up higher on the trailer but you would want to angle them down to get the best view of traffic. I recommend making the power connections to the cameras and pairing them to the monitor, then see which angle would work best before mounting them to the trailer.
In summary, I still think the system will work well for you even with the side cameras mounted up higher than normal.
