What is the Opened Length of the Valterra Waste Valve for RV Gray Water Tanks

Question:
Is the open measurement correct? I need anew valve everything is identical except the open length mine measures 9 3/8. If it were to open 8 1/8 inch it would only be 1/2 way open.

Expert Reply:
I reached out to Valterra about the discrepency on the Waste Valve for RV Gray Water Tank part # T1001PBC and found out that it is actually 8 9/16" when fully opened. There was a slight design change to the upper housing but she assured me that it will still fully open like your original.
