Question:
Good afternoon, I have a 2015 Silverado 2500HD Double Cab, 6,0 Gas, 8 foot box. I’m looking to tow a trailer no more than 13k. Would this be a good hitch for my truck and would it require any special mounting? This will be my first experience with a 5th wheel RV. Thanks,

Welcome to the new world of 5th wheel towing! I can help you find what you're looking for and I'll also link some helpful articles to this answer that you may want to check out to learn a bit more about some different things that you might encounter when towing a 5th wheel trailer.
To start, as far as an economy 5th wheel hitch goes, the Curt E16 # C16116 is a good choice and will come with both the hitch and a set of universal installation rails that you'll need to mount your new hitch in your truck bed. The E16 head has a slide bar jaw and a dual-pivoting head with 10-degree lateral movement help make hookup a bit easier. The installation kit will install onto your vehicle's frame without any drilling required on the frame, and then allow you to attach the base rails into the truck bed. The parts in this kit are # C16115 (hitch) and # C16411-204 (base rail installation kit).
If you wanted to improve your towing experience for just a little more money, I strongly recommend going up to the Curt A16 # C16120 which has a dual interlocking jaw system that gives 360 degree contact with the kingpin for better security. It also has a fully articulating torsion head for controlled coupling and a more stable, quiet ride compared to the E16.
If you don't have a 7 way connector in your truck bed already you may want to consider also adding the Curt # C56000 which has a 10 foot long cord to allow for easily connecting to your trailer once you're already coupled.
In addition to some articles on 5th wheel towing, I've also linked some installation and review videos of these two hitches to this answer for you to have a look at.
