To determine if the Yakima SkyBox NX 16 Cargo Box, part # Y95AV, will fit the roof of your 2009 Toyota Prius and clear the rear hatch you will need to take a measurement on your vehicle's roof.
The minimum clearance measurement to determine rear hatch clearance is taken from the center of the front crossbar of the roof rack on your vehicle to the seam of the rear hatch on your Prius. That measurement will need to be 47 inches or more for the roof cargo box to clear the rear hatch on your vehicle. I am including a picture that will show the minimum clearance measurements on Yakima roof cargo boxes to determine rear hatch clearance on a vehicle.
