Question:
I have a 2011 Honda Pilot that has the 7 pin trailer harness installed and it works fine for the lights of my utility trailer, but I just bought another trailer that has electric brakes. I have the electric brake harness and fuse that came with the 7 pin traile harness kit, but it is just a plud with bare wires coming from it...I understand I need the brake controller to hook this into. Will this part brake controller simply plug into the electric brake harness in my Pilot found beside my parking brake and I will not have to use the electric brake harness that plug that was supplied with the 7 pin trailer harness kit ? Does the brake controller get all of its power, etc from this electric brake harness ?

Since your 2011 Honda Pilot came with a factory installed 7-Way, all you will need to install the brake controller is the brake controller itself, # 90885 that you have referenced, and the wiring harness, # 3070-P.
This adapter plugs into the 4-pin connector on your vehicles built-in brake control wiring harness. The harness is located underneath the dash, to the left of the brake pedal. I have included a link to a picture that should help.
The brake controller gets all of its power from the wiring harness when it is plugged into the vehicle.
