Question:

I have the DEMCO 18K Sliding Hitch in a 2007 Ram MegaCab 2WD Will this same hitch fit in a 2012 Dodge Ram Laramie Mega Cab 4WD with the tool boxes that are built into the sides of the bed? What kit will I need to do the install?

In order to install the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch on a 2012 Ram 2500 you will need the Demco Hijacker Premier Series Above-Bed Base Rails and Custom Installation Kit part # DM8552016-71. That said, since you have the RamBox feature you need a rotating pin box and the Demco Hijacker won't work with a rotating pin box. I recommend selling the Demco Hijacker and obtaining the Demco Recon 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # DM8550043 along with the Demco Hijacker Premier Series Above-Bed Base Rails and Custom Installation Kit part # DM8552016-71. The reason you have to use a rotating pin box is because a fixed pin box will hit the RamBox every time your turn.

If you can let me know the model number of the pin box on the trailer I can get you setup with a rotating pin box.
