Troubleshooting a Trailer that Keeps Blowing Left Turn/Brake Lights

Question:
all lights work, except no left turn or brake...changed bulb, and got brake twice, now not....truck is 2003 Toyota tacoma....worked fine with another trailer 2 weeks ago

It sounds like there might be a short on the left turn/brake circuit of your trailer. That would explain why the bulb went out initially and then why it went out again after you changed the bulb. I would inspect the circuit starting at the trailer connector and go all the way back to the tail light looking for corrosion or exposed wire and fix as necessary.
The other thing I would check is the ground of the tail light assembly, bad grounds can cause all sorts of bizarre behavior so I would make sure that the ground is attached to a clean, metal surface.
