The etrailer.com bag, item # 988501, is not recommended to be used as a rooftop cargo bag, due to the size and height of the bag. The bag works great or a hitch mounted cargo carrier, but it's about as aerodynamic as a brick so it wouldn't be the best choice for a roof mount.
As long as your vehicle has a roof rack to tie a bag down to, I would recommend the Thule Outbound Roof Rack Cargo Bag, part # TH868. This bag offers 13 cubic feet of storage, and is covered by a limited lifetime warranty.
I would also recommend a tire step like part # HE4040, which would make accessing your rooftop cargo much easier.
