Will this kit work with a "Valley glider" 5th wheel head unit?

We have the Reese fifth wheel rail kit part # RP50142-58 which is a confirmed fit for your 2019 Ram 1500 Classic ecodiesel with a 5-1/2 foot bed as a confirmed fit that I would recommend highly, but the Curt you mentioned does not fit your truck so I do not recommend it.

Since this is a custom fit kit it will require minimal drilling and install time compared to a universal kit.

Since your truck bed is so short you will need a slider hitch that can provide more turning clearance than a standard slider hitch. For that we have the Demco Hijacker Autoslide part # DM8550040 which provides 22-1/2 inches of clearance automatically as you make tight turns. To put that into perspective most slider hitches only provide about half of that clearance and also require you to manually operate them.

The rail kit would technically work with the Valley hitch you have but it won't have enough turning clearance to make tight turns since your bed is shorter than 6 feet. You really do need the 22-1/2 inches of added clearance that the Demco I mentioned provides.
