To get the weight of your 1952 Terry trailer I would try to see if it has any type of identification plate or sticker on the trailer itself or the trailer axle that might indicate the weight of the trailer. The other choice if you cannot find a plate is to get it weighed on a local commercial scale at a truck stop, quarry or material supply center. I am including a link to a FAQ page that will talk about determining the weight of your trailer.
After you find out the weight of your empty trailer (unloaded or dry weight) remember to add the weight of any cargo that you might be transporting in the trailer to get the loaded weight.
To determine the maximum towing weight capacity of your 2006 Nissan Murano I would recommend checking the owners manual or with a Nissan dealer to get the correct capacity. I did some research and found the maximum towing weight capacity of a 2006 Nissan Murano to be 3,500 lbs, but you will still want to verify your vehicles weight capacity.
Make sure the weight of the trailer and its contents will be below the towing capacity of your Murano.
If the weight of the trailer and its contents will be below the towing capacity of your Murano you will need a hitch on your vehicle like the Curt Class III 2-Inch Hitch, part # 13571, and the Ball Mount Kit, part # 989900. For trailer wiring use # C49KR.
As far as if it can be safely towed without a sway bar, I recommend taking a test drive first to determine if sway control is needed. Your first line of defense against sway is proper loading and tongue weight of the trailer.
