Can Tire Snow Chains be Used on 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sahara with 255/70-18 Tires
Published 02/12/2020 >
Question:
Hi have a 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sahara with 255/70R18 tires stock. I have read that I cannot use chains due to clearance issues. Do you have any recommendations, should I get spacers installed? Thank you

I took a look at the owner's manual of a 2011 Jeep Wrangler and it does state that Sahara models should not have chains installed. The unfortunate reality is that even though they say this there are many places that have laws requiring at least having snow chains in the vehicle and/or the use of them depending on weather.
That said, my recommendation is to get a quality chain without thick links, the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern # TC2326.
These are a fit for 255/70-18 tires and they are Class S compatible, which means they are designed for wheel wells that have limited clearance; the links on these Titan chains are just 0.145" (3.7 mm) thick.
I have added a link to a couple video reviews and installs for you to check out of the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains # TC2326.
