The Class refers to the amount of clearance between a tire chain and any part of the vehicle they're on. Class S chains require the least amount of clearance and are often required on passenger vehicles. I looked at an owner's manual for your 2018 Ford F-150 and it does state to use Class S chains. It also states to install chains on the rear tires only and to not exceed 30 mph.
For a Class S snow chain I recommend the Titan cables, part # TC741DC. They include the adjusters so you don't need to buy them separately. These are cables so they're for very light duty use. For a stronger chain I recommend part # TC2228SCAM. These are a square link ladder chain which are great for getting through snow and ice, but they're not Class S so you might not have the clearance on your truck to use them. These are going to be a lot more effective than the cables but you want to make sure you have the room for the chains so there's no damage to your truck.
