There are trailer hitches available for your 1990 Chevy Silverado with a step bumper, though none that have a 1-1/4 inch receiver, they each have a 2 inch receiver so you will need to use a reducer. What you will need to use are one of the following:
Trailer Hitch:
- Non-Crew Cab models: Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13042
- Crew Cab model: Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13028
Hitch Reducer:
- Hitch Reducer 2" to 1-1/4" Trailer Hitch Receiver # HT02 with Pin and Clip # PC3
or
- Hitch Adapter 2" to 1-1/4" Trailer Hitch Receiver - 11-1/2" Long # 80300 with Pin and Clip # PC3
I have added links to video reviews and installation instructions for you to check out as well.
