Can you recommend an American made cargo carrier that is 48inch wide?

The only cargo carriers that we have that are made in the USA are the Lets Go Aero enclosed carriers # HGK819 and # HGK826. They both will only work with 2" hitches. They are high quality and are considerably more expensive than the open carriers, but an excellent choice if you want made in the USA.
If those are out of your price range, the # 6502 that you referenced is a good, quality, carrier, it is just not made in the USA.
