Yes the Detail K2 Summit II Elite Snowplow # K2SUMM8826ELT will fit your 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, and you are correct it does require a custom bracket to mount to the front of your truck, the correct bracket kit is # K283014.
Once you have the brackets installed, the plow has flip down casters to wheel the plow where you need it for storage or hooking up, they're also adjustable to match the height of your Silverado.
One of my favorite features of this plow is the wireless remote. The fact that it's wireless means you won't have to drill any holes in your truck to have the remote in the cab, or have the window down to run the wire inside. You can stay warm and control the plow easily.
I linked the plow and the custom brackets for your truck so you can check them out. Our most current prices will be reflected on the product page.
