Snow Chains with Clearance for 2008 Escalade OEM 22 inch Wheels/Tires

Question:

I have a 2008 escalade with 22inch wheels and 285/45/22 tires and my manual doesnt like me to save money. Do not use tire chains. There is not enough clearance. Tire chains used on a vehicle without the proper amount of clearance can cause damage to the brakes, suspension, or other vehicle parts. The area damaged by the tire chains could cause you to lose control of your vehicle and you or others may be injured in a crash. Use another type of traction device only if its manufacturer recommends it for use on your vehicle and tire size combination and road conditions. Follow that manufacturer’s instructions. To help avoid damage to your vehicle, drive slowly, re-adjust or remove the device if it is contacting your vehicle, and do not spin your wheels. If you do find traction devices that will fit, install them on the rear tires.inch Can these chains maintain clearance of the chrome rims to prevent damage as well as they integral parts of the brakes/suspension ect.

The Titan Chain Diagonal Alloy Cable Snow Tire Chains # TC751DC do have the best clearances of the options that fit your 2008 Cadillac Escalade that has tire size 285/45-22 so it would be your best possible option, but you'll want to check with a Cadillac dealer in a mountainous area where tire chains are very common and ask them if they would endorse the use of these as they are only people who can tell you what's safe or not.

These chains will fit your tires provided there is both:

A - a minimum of 1.46" (37 mm) between the top of the tire tread and the wheel well
B - at least 0.59" (15 mm) between the tire's sidewall and the vehicle itself.
