Can the Demco Kar Kaddy SS Be Uncoupled With the Vehicle Still Attached

Question:

Greetings, after reviewing the details on this site my question is: Can you disconnect the tow dolly from the tow vehicle without first removing the vehicle? It seems that the front wheels of the towed vehicle are forward of the axis of the dolly wheels so as to make the system front heavy. This seems to make it possible so long as the front is supported properly. Just looking at options. Thanks!

In regards to the Demco Kar Kaddy SS Tow Dolly part # DM9713045, the tow dolly must be securely attached to the tow vehicle via the hitch ball/coupler before the vehicle can be loaded or unloaded. Therefore, you cannot disconnect the towed vehicle from the tow dolly with the tow dolly disconnected from the tow vehicle. That said, this will be the case for most if not all tow dollies. The proper loading and unloading procedures for the Demco Kar Kaddy SS are listed on page 17 of the owner's manual.

I can't really say what would happen if you did disconnect the tow dolly from the tow vehicle with the towed vehicle still attached but if anything were to break or go wrong you would not be covered under any existing warranty
