Question:

Hi, I have a tracRac that is 13 years old and I just took it off my 2006 ford crew cab short bed and going to put it on my new 2019 Ram crew cab short bed. It looks to line up perfectly but I also want to have a Tonneau Cover to work with it. Any suggestions? I also need to paint the box rails since they have faded over time from Black to light gray. Will spray can paint work? Thanks

So the recommended Thule TracRac SR for a 2019 Ram 1500 is the part # TH43003XT-501 which for just the base rails of the you'd want the # TH21501 which should work just fine with your current uprights as long as they are the Thule/TracRac sliding style.

For a tonneau that will fit with this you'd then want the # BAK39223 which is only option we offer that can fit with the TracRac ladder rack.

As long as you prep everything you should have no problem using spray paint either.
