Would Redarc Battery Charger # 331-BCDC1225D Cause Backfeeding Problem with Vehicle Wiring
Published 12/04/2019 >
Question:
Understand the dual DC power source is ok but the wiring size on the 7 pin power feed is quite a bit smaller than the cable used for the larger amperage 1240 charger. That potential disparity in amperage and wiring size seems as though it might set up an over heating situation in the 7pin connector. Am I missing something in this scenario?

The Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger # 331-BCDC1225D that you referenced would not allow amperage or voltage to backfeed onto the vehicle trailer wiring to the point of causing any issues. With DC power it's okay to have more than one power source connected on the same circuit and there won't be any problems. AC power is a different story but that's not something you'd need to worry about.
