Features to know about

Hot Water That Keeps Up with Showers and Sink Use

Short showers and waiting between dishes get old fast, especially when more than one person needs hot water. This tankless propane water heater heats water on demand instead of pulling from a stored tank, with 55,000 Btu of output for RV showers, sinks, and general use. Hot water keeps flowing while water is running, giving you more time at the shower or sink before moving on to the next part of camp life.

Temperature Control from Inside the RV

control panel

Dialing in comfortable water can be frustrating when the heater is outside and the faucet is inside. The included digital remote with LCD display gives you precise temperature adjustment from inside the RV, keeping the main control point where you're actually using the water. You can adjust the heat before or during showers, dishwashing, and sink use from the living space.

Flow Adjustment for Changing Water Temperatures

Incoming water temperature can change from one campground or season to the next, and that can affect how a tankless heater performs. The patented valve automatically adjusts flow based on incoming water temperature for improved efficiency, tying water movement to the conditions feeding the heater. The heater manages flow as water enters, keeping hot water delivery more consistent during normal RV use.

Protection for Common RV Water Heater Problems

Running propane heat and hot water in an RV comes with real concerns, especially in changing weather conditions. This unit includes carbon monoxide and propane leak detection, along with anti-scald and anti-freeze protection to help keep operation safer. These safeguards work in the background while the heater runs, helping protect against gas, temperature, and freezing issues during everyday use.

Compact Retrofit for Replacement Projects

Replacing an older RV water heater often comes down to space, cutouts, and how much rework the install takes. Compact, lightweight construction lets this unit retrofit into most RV cutouts, with 12V DC pulse electronic ignition and forced exhaust for RV operation. During a replacement project, the heater fits into the existing water heater area more easily than a bulky unit that demands a larger opening.

Video Transcript for Review of Flex Power RV Water Heater - Tankless Water Heater - FP94FR

Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer. Let's take a look at the Flex Power RV Tankless Water Heater with propane and a gas-electric ignition, 55,000 watts in black color on the front. So if you've ever had to cut a shower short because your hot water ran out, you already know the limitation of those traditional RV water heaters. That's exactly where this RVMP Flex Power Tankless Water Heater is designed to fit. And starting off, you can see you've got a nice digital thermostat here with the on, off, and of course the temperatures up and down options.

I'm gonna go ahead and leave that there. So this system is gonna deliver on-demand hot water. So again, no tank, no waiting, no running out, just consistent hot water whenever and wherever you need it, whether it's your shower, doing dishes, cleaning, those kind of things. And again, 55,000 BTUs of heating power in this small unit is impressive. It's built to keep up with real-world use.

Even when demand is high, it's gonna give you the reliable performance whenever you're parked, boondocking and all that. Now to me, one of the standout features of this unit is its patented flow control system. So it's automatically gonna adjust based on the incoming water temperature, and that's gonna help maintain steady output and be more efficient and use less fuel when it doesn't need to. Now on the backside here, you could see those connections. You got hot and cold.

They just put these plastic caps on here to protect the threads for shipping, and those are labeled as well. And then of course you got the gas down here and you got the electrical wires. Now if you saw that I got a little bit of water on my fingers, on the box when you open, there's a big sticker when you first open the box and it says specifically, "Hey, we test all these to make sure they're holding water, they're not leaking. So you will get some residual water inside." So just keep that in mind that's coming that way from the factory. Now when it comes to safety, this unit is loaded.

You have carbon monoxide detection, propane leak detection, antifreeze protection, and anti-scalding technology. So you should have peace of mind whenever you're traveling. And again, we got the black door. Simply push in, rotate to undo the latch, and now you can see kind of the guts on the inside. So not much to it, you got the exhaust here, and then you do have an on-off manual switch here on the inside, and then everything's kind of behind all of that as well, then obviously a drain hose here. So this is a great compact unit. You can really see how small it is inside. The only thing I noticed whenever I was closing this door, you gotta be kind of careful with getting this gasket lined up around that muffler there where the heat's coming out. So be careful if you ever open this when it's hot. Obviously it's labeled there, but getting this back in place, you may gonna have to wiggle that a little bit or adjust it when you're installing that door out of the box. So out of the box, all I had to do is put the door on, and then of course you will need to wire up the thermostat. Now again, because this is compact, it is also retrofit friendly. So this is a great upgrade from traditional tank water heaters without having to do any kind of major modifications. Now to wrap it up, I do wanna go over some dimensions. As far as the length including the door, I got 17 inches long, I got 14 3/4 inches wide, and 14 5/8 inches tall. And then as far as the rest of everything back here in the back, this again will be your standard measurements to fit into your unit that you're replacing. But I do want to go ahead and grab my tape measure here real quick and give you those dimensions. So without the door, I get about 16 1/2 to the back, and that's from the side there. And then across the top, I get right at about 12 1/2. And then on the side, again, just the unit, no door, about 12 5/8 inches tall. So again, those are kind of close to your standard dimensions that you more likely already have in there. Again, this is a great replacement, the RVMP Flex Power Tankless Water Heater. I'm Steve with etrailer. Thanks for watching. And if you don't wanna tackle the install, use our installer locator link below and we can help pair you with trusted etrailer technicians in your area. Really appreciate you sharing this and glad to hear the direct swap went smoothly and everything was back up and running right away. It’s also great to know the new door and latch were a nice upgrade for the customer, those little improvements can make a big difference in day-to-day use. Out of curiosity, have you had many of these Flex water heater replacements come through this season due to winterization issues, or was this a more isolated case?
