Can You Swap an LED Clerance Light Directly with an Existing Incandescent Light on A Trailer
Updated 04/30/2012 | Published 04/29/2012 >
Question:
Can I wire this directly into the existing wiring where the old incandescent light was or do I require some sort of converter to allow the LED to work? Thanks

Expert Reply:
Yes, the Oval LED Trailer Clearance, Side Marker Light, # MCL31AB, can be wired directly into the trailers existing taillight wire, just like the incandescent light you are replacing was wired in.
Be sure to ground the white wire with a ring terminal on it to a clean portion of the trailer frame, or splice it into the ground wire on your trailer.
