What is the max. diameter frame tube the jaws can Span and hold?

I went out to the warehouse and measured the frame clamps on a Swagman roof mount bike rack, # S64720. The maximum the jaws will open, at the narrowest point, is 2-1/8 inches. The maximum at the center of the jaws where they are the furthest apart is 3 inches. This is with at least 3 full turns of the knob on the bolt. I made a picture that shows the measurements for you.
