The Stromberg Carlson 4000 Series 5th Wheel Louvered Tailgate with Lock for GM Trucks part # VGM-07-4000 itself is not designed to be painted but you can add the Louver Insert Kit for Stromberg Carlson 4000 Series 5th Wheel Tailgates part # 4000-V can be painted and added to the tailgate for a customized look.
