Does Suspension Enhancement for 2015 Subaru Outback Increase Tongue Weight Capacity

Question:

My Subaru Outback has a tongue weight of 200 lbs. would the addition of Coil Lite springs increase that capacity?

That is a good question; the addition of suspension enhancement such as the Coil SumoSprings Custom Helper Springs # CSS-1125R that fit your 2015 Subaru Outback do not increase your tongue weight capacity or towing capacity. There are no products that will increase the capacity of a vehicle, and you always want to ensure you go by the lowest-rated component. So if the owner's manual of your Outback states a 200 lb tongue weight capacity, no matter what else you add, you would not be able to exceed that capacity.

If you do plan on doing some towing with your Outback, you will also need a trailer hitch and wiring harness. For the hitch I recommend the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76227 because it has a concealed crosstube so your Outback can maintain it's clean look, and because it does not require drilling to install, unlike other hitches for your vehicle.

For the wiring harness I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118467 because it is the most reliable harness available for your 2015 Subaru Outback. I have added links to the instructions as well as videos of installs of these parts for you to take a look at.
