The manual with my 2015 Honda Pilot SE AWD states to not use weight distribution system. Honda dealer could not answer towing questions. Do you know if there Is a reason to NOT use one on this vehicle?

Yes-there is a reason. The Honda Pilot has a unibody frame, which means that the frame and body of the vehicle are all one piece; this is compared to a body on frame construction where the body of the vehicle sits on a ladder like frame. Because it doesn’t rely on heavy steel rails like those of a body-on-frame vehicle, unibody construction cuts significant weight out of the vehicle, allowing for better fuel economy. It also offers better handling and ride comfort and is safer, since the entire body can absorb the energy forces in a crash.
Weight distribution (WD) and sway control products rely on leverage to work properly, which requires the body of the vehicle to be rigid enough to withstand the force. Unibody vehicles are typically not as strong or rigid and therefore cannot typically handle the same loads and stresses of a body-on-frame or ladder-style frame vehicle when it comes to towing and using WD or sway control. This is the reason that it is not advised to use a weight distribution system on your 2015 Honda Pilot.
For vehicles with unibody frames, we do have an alternative that can help out though! I recommend going with a rear suspension enhancement to help combat some of the rear end sag associated with towing. Have a look at the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement # THROD2 . Sagging on the rear end while towing creates a porpoising effect that can cause handling issues and create an unsafe and uncomfortable towing experience. By using a rear suspension enhancement, you're accomplishing some of the same results that a weight distribution hitch would, just in a little different manner. The weight won't be distributed over the entire vehicle, but it provides more support to your rear end and as mentioned, is going to help provide you with a better towing experience without the need for a weight distribution hitch.
