Question:
I am looking for a trailer hitch with 2inch receiver for my 2016 VW Tiguan R-Line. There is a plastic cowel under the back bumper with no cutout and no drilled plate so I would need the hitch.

I recommend Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13133 for your 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line which is a 2" receiver. It does require a fascia cut out for installation. I have attached an installation video and snip from the instructions that show the amount of fascia trimming required for the R-line.
If you need wiring, I recommend T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118675. I have attached an installation video for your reference.
