Question:
I have a 26’ travel trailer ultra-lite and use an Equilizer weight-distributing, anti-sway when towing. I plan on installing Ride-rite #2525 on my 2010 F-150 FTR Canadian XLT equivalent 4-WD supercab. When is it advisable to inflate the springs: before the distribution hitch is hooked up? Or after it is hooked up to trailer and truck? Thanks!

Expert Reply:
Generally you will want to inflate your air bags first, then set up the weight distribution.
You can start by adding weight to the truck, inflate the # F2525 air bags as needed, and then setup your weight distribution hitch. If you are adding the weight after you have set up your hitch you can adjust the hitch to give you slightly more weight distribution. This would be simply done on Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37100ET, for example, by raising the brackets.
