Recommended Ladder Rack for 2003 Ford F-250 with Tool Box

Question:

I have a 2003 F250 6 ft bed with a weathergaurd box. I would like to add a ladder rack for work and play I want to carry SUPs/canoe/etc while minimizing the bed space lost when I have to move the box to fit the rack. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

As long as the weather guard box doesn't hang over the top of the bed's side rails on your 2003 Ford F-250, the best option for a compatible ladder rack is one that mounts right on top of the rails without requiring any space on the inside. For this I highly recommend the Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack # TH43003XT-510. This would let you keep the toolbox in place when utilizing the rack.

This is an excellent system that uses unique T-track base rails that attach to the top of the bed rails on your F-250 that allow for an adjustable rack for your gear (whether for work or play). The uprights can slide along the base rails to accommodate different sized loads (your SUPs might enjoy a different crossbar spacing than a couple of ladders, for example) and the rack is constructed of a durable 600-Series aluminum for a completely rust-resistant setup.
