I need straps for an old jet bag explorer hard case luggage carrier. That will go on a 1988 dodge ram van.

The Replacement Mounting Strap with Buckle for SportRack Explorer Cargo Box # SR02918 should work great for your X-Cargo roof box. These straps are 1" wide x 40-3/4" long and many people have used them on similar model luggage carriers. You will want 4 of these straps to give you 2 on each side.
