Question:

Jameson, I asked the question the other day about which fuse socket to plug into on a F150 Raptor as the one identified in the video did not work locked out transmission. Just wanted you to know that I used the spot light socket yesterday and all worked fine. Just fyi.

The reason the red wire of the Brake Lite Relay # RM-88400 runs to your fuse box is so that it can connect to a circuit that only sees power when the vehicle is on. This allows the relay to have power only when the vehicle is on. Obviously the circuit you are using now is not the correct once since the vehicle won't shift gears. Look for a different fuse circuit that would have power when the vehicle is on that would be less involved with the vehicle running like the "radio" fuse.

The only wire that gets connected to any of the vehicle taillights is the black wire that runs to the brake lights of the vehicle.

I attached an install video for this kit on a similar 2018 Ford F-150 for you to check out as well.
