Can Draw Tite Front Hitch for 2008 GMC Sierra be Used with 12,000 lb Rated Winch
Published 08/15/2019 >
Question:
Hello, I would like to mount this to my GMC Sierra 2500HD so that I can use a receiver hitch winch cradle. It is rated for a trailer weight of 5000 pounds and Line Pull of 9000 pounds. Is it adequate for mounting a 12,000 pound winch? I may be winching a loaded truck with a loaded trailer behind the loaded truck. Total weight could be 9000 pounds. thank you!

The Draw Tite front hitch part # 65050 is a fit for your 2008 GMC Sierra 2500HD and has a line pull rating of 9,000 lbs. It would work great with the winch you have that has a 12k capacity pulling a trailer that weighs 9,000 lbs. Your winch would just be rated higher than needed which is a good thing as it won't be working too hard.
I attached an install video for this front hitch for you to check out as well.
