Question:

I have a 2016 F-150 4x4 that has a Ranch hand front grill guard. I’m trying to find a base plate that will allow me to keep the brush guard on but also allow me to tow it with my all terrain Sterling tow bar. Is there a base plate out there that will allow me to do both? Thank you

We certainly have base plate kits available for your 2016 Ford F-150 that will hook right up to your existing Sterling All Terrain Tow Bar # RM-576, but they will all require that you first remove the Ranch Grill Guard that you have mounted. This will be the case with any base plate kit as they simply require the same mounting space as the guard.

For the base plates I recommend the Roadmaster Direct-Connect # RM-524431-5 that features removable drawbars and a streamlined design that lets you maintain a clean appearance when you aren't towing. I have attached an installation video and the written instructions that you can use for reference.

In order to flat tow your F-150 you will also need a lighting solution and a supplemental braking system. If you still need these parts please let me know and I will be happy to make some recommendations.
