Replacement 7-Way Trailer Connector for a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe
Published 07/17/2019 >
Question:
Morning I have a 2002 Tahoe LS with 5.3 L engine. I bought the above part and would like to know if it is strictly a plug and play on this model of Tahoe? I have the 7 blade reception for the connection to the trailer. DO I have to remove any plugs and electrical tape bare wiring connections Hoping notA.

The correct replacement trailer connector for your 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe is actually the Hopkins Endurance Twist Mount 7-Way RV Trailer Connector part # HM40930 as it will use the same mounting bracket that you have attached in your photo. This is known as a twist style and is specific to GM's. The Replacement Custom Multi-Tow 7-Way and 4-Way Trailer Connectors part # 30955 will not work with this mount. The Hopkins Endurance Twist Mount 7-Way RV Trailer Connector will be plug and play once you remove the old trailer connector, no wiring involved.
