The Westin HDX Grille Guards and the mounting kits are both made for specific vehicle applications so you cannot take a guard from one truck and move it to a new truck just by swapping hardware.
So to install a Westin HDX grille guard on your 2012 Ram 1500 you'd need an all new kit with part # 57-3545 and you'd be set.
