Question:

I see the 63070 adjustable hitch has 3 pins, Hitch, Shank and Spindle. It was a little ambiguous in a previous response to securing the ball mount to the vertical shaft. Can the 3-headed ball mount be removed from the assembly entirely if the Shank pin is locked? Or do I need a Spindle pin lock to prevent this?

In order to prevent theft of the Pro Series Adjustable 3-Ball Mount part # 63070 you will only need two locking hitch pins, the Draw-Tite Lock Set for Pro Series Adjustable Ball Mounts part # 63069. There is one lock that will secure the shank to the trailer hitch and then the other secures the tri-ball assembly to the shank. The third pin which is used to rotate the tri-ball assembly can be stolen yes but they would not be able to remove the hitch balls as a result of this.
