Question:
I am currently using a trunk mounted bike carrier and I plan on purchasing a hitch and a two bike platform carrier for my 2011 mazda 3 5 door. Do you have or know of any hitch mounted platform carriers where the bikes can be tilted away from the car to have access to the hatch without removing the bikes? Thanks!

For your 2011 Mazda 3 Hatchback, I recommend using the Kuat Transfer 2 Bike Platform Rack part # KU74FR which should allow you to tilt the rack down, away from the vehicle with your bikes still attached so you can access your rear cargo area which you can see in the attached photo on a similar vehicle. This is actually one of my favorite bike racks because you can walk your bike up into the carrier without having to lift them in the air as much.
For a trailer hitch you will want to use the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11383 because it has the least recessed hitch pin of all options for your vehicle which means you most likely won't run into any clearance issues with the above. I have attached an install video for you.
