Question:

I have a 2019 Honda Civic manual trans I want to tow 4 down, behind a 25foot 2016 Leisure Travel Vans Unity Sprinter 3500 chassis. I already have a the Blue Ox Alpha tow bar, BX7365. Is it compatible with BX2265 base plate? I notice that vertical mounting distance of BX2265 is 12 1/2. Im assuming this is the height at the tow bar attach points. This is lower than my motorhome receiver. How much vertical leeway between receiver and tow bar attach points is allowed, if any, both for this tow bar and just in general?

Yes, the Blue Ox Alpha 2 Tow Bar part # BX7380 will absolutely work with the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit part # BX2265 on your 2019 Honda Civic which this kit is a fit for. The bracket height measurement that you mentioned of 12-1/2" is indeed from the ground to the center of the arm. This distance will need to be be within 3" from the distance between the ground and center of the trailer hitch on your motorhome. If it is not then you can use a high-low adapter which is very common.

I have attached a list of our high-low adapters for you as well but if you let me know the hitch height on your motorhome I can recommend one for you.
