Are There Vehicle Specific Instructions for the ZCI Wiring Harness on a 2017 Mini Clubman

Question:

I just received my Curt hitch for this vehicle from you and got it installed. Next up is the wiring harness, but Im concerned with issues I may run into that I should be prepared for, and since vehicle wiring is not my forte Ive relied heavily on the extremely detailed, model specific instructions shipped with your equipment. I printed the Installation Guide pdf from the link on the page, but it very general and not specific to the installation of this kit on my vehicle in particular. Is there a way I can get a link, or an emailed version, so I can give it a read an install video would be ok too prior to placing the order? which I will again only be placing with etrailer I am fairly sure I would not be able to successfully complete this install using only the non-model-specific single page instruction sheet.

The reason that the install instructions are not model specific is because the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 119250KIT is a universal kit. Therefore, there is not going to be any model specific instructions for your vehicle nor do we have any videos at this time because we have not yet had a chance to install this wiring harness on a vehicle similar to yours. There is also not any custom fit trailer wiring harnesses available for your vehicle so generic instructions are all that is available. I know this is not what you wanted to hear.

That said, I really think your best option would be to take your vehicle and the above harness to a local shop to have them install this for you. The cost in doing so would not be very much as all that is required to install is simply removing the tail lights and running some wires essentially. They would also have access to the wiring diagram charts for your vehicle as well. If you have a local RV dealer near you with a repair shop, that would be who I reach out to.
