Can a Hand Wheel Style Latch Be Replaced with a Trigger Style Latch On a Trailer Coupler

Question:

Is there a conversation from hand wheel to what I call a normal cam over hook latch type of coupler. In other words can I simply change the guts out.

I do have an option for you but I am not aware of any conversion kit for a hand wheel style latch to a trigger style latch for a trailer coupler. If you want to get rid of the hand wheel style latch you will have to replace the entire coupler. If you have a standard 3" wide tongue with 2" hitch ball then I recommend replacing with the Demco Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler part # DM12925. The trigger style coined eZ-Latch that this coupler uses is one of the best on the market because as the name imply it's super easy to coupler and uncouple to the hitch ball. The latch also does not need to be open to set the ball on.

If you have a different setup then just let me know and I will make sure you get the correct trigger style coupler.
