Hi. Is this part 18-8, 304, 316, or unknown stainless steel? Also, theres a discrepancy in the dimensions. The illustrations show # 15/16, while the description text shows # 5/16. Which one is correct - 5 or 15 sixteenths? Thank you.

I spoke with Optronics but they were not able to tell me the grade of stainless steel used on the Stainless Steel Trim Ring for Optronics Flange Mount Trailer Lights part # A5TRSSB. I also do not have any way to test this for you either. However, the most common is 304 which is likely what the ring is made of. The distance for the inner diameter of the ring is 3-15/16" and the distance between the mounting holes on center is 4-15/16".
