Can I move the position of the racks on my Chevy Colorado back further to get more stability on a longer kayak? They will fit just fine. The current distance is only around 27.

With naked roof roof rack installs like the Rhino Rack # RRVA126B-2, # RRRLKVA, and # DK330 you have installed you have to stick with the recommended crossbar spacing. This spacing is where the roof is reinforced the best to carry the weight so if you move the rack around it's possible you could damage the roof.
