Reese Hitch Recommendation for a 2007 Toyota Tundra 5.5 Bed Towing a Open Range Light Trailer

Question:
I own a 2007 Toyota Tundra Crewmax 5.5 bed, I have looked at the new Openrange lite 5th wheel, they are telling me I can use any 5th wheel hitch since Openrange lite has a new style hitch which allows short bed trucks to make a 90 degree turn. If this is the case which hitch of yours would you recommend.

I did a little research on the pin box that is on the Open Range Lite fifth wheel and it does look like you could tow one of their trailers with your 2007 Toyota Tundra with a short bed.
For a hitch for your 2007 Toyota Tundra with a 5.5 ft bed I would recommend you get a Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # RP30047 and Reese Rail Kit # RP30035-309. This hitch provides excellent jaw-to-king-pin contact with a 2 jaw latching system.
If you were to ever try and tow a different trailer you will need to install a Sidewinder like the one you referenced. Sidewinders are pin box specific so you will need to know the pin box model number of the trailer before you can pick one out. I attached an FAQ article on Sidewinders for you to check out also that has an application chart.
