Recommended Observation Camera System For Inside Horse Trailer
Updated 05/16/2019 | Published 05/15/2019 >
Question:
Hi - I have the Trailer Eyes 5.8 GHz monitor system in my F-250 and gooseneck horse trailer. The monitor has gone out on this system and Im wondering if the backup camera you have would be a good replacement? My monitor uses a 7-pin connector cable, is 7inch wide and 5.8GHZ frequency. The supply voltage is DC12V1A. Do you think your backup monitor would work for my application? Thank you!

If the monitor on your Trailer Eyes Monitoring System has gone bad then you will need to replace the entire system. I recommend the Hyndsight Journey Observation Camera System part # JVS-EW which will allow you to keep an eye on your horses as well as your trailer/tow vehicle with additional cameras, the Hyndsight Observation Camera part # HVS-095W.
Unfortunately, I cannot confirm the monitor from the Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera and Hitch Aligner System part # HM50002 will work with your Trailer Eyes Monitoring System but if I had to guess I would say no as most observation and backup camera system parts aren't interchangeable.
