I have the older version of the yakima fatcat. Will this fit the factory/deal crossbars for a 2012 mini countryman and will the bolt fit the older version of the fatcat?

If you have the original hardware for the older version of the Yakima FatCat then it will fit directly with the OEM roof rack on your 2012 Mini Countryman.
The part # Y8860081 that you referenced is for the Yakima round crossbars so if you are missing the mounting hardware then you need the Universal MightyMounts # Y03590 instead. These are compatible both with your older FatCat as well as the OEM roof rack on your Countryman.
