34×34 Neo angle shower pan 5 inch apron The shower base underneath needs to rest flat on the floor or pedestal but does the 5 inch apron need to be supported underneath also?

The Better Bath RV Shower Pan - Right Hand Drain - 32" Long x 32" Wide - White # LC209744 needs support at the floor as you mentioned but also under the partial apron. The apron needs additional support as the ABS plastic molding construction provides only partial support. I've attached a photo of the installation instructions outlining this and their recommended weight capacity of 300 lbs.
