Question:

New 2019 F350, 2016 5th wheel Dear experts thanks for the help. We recently purchased a new 2019 F350 to replace our 97 F250. Well, the truck bed height for the new F350 SRW is taller and I do believe the trailers king pin and bottom surface of the front fifth wheel is going to ride higher and not level. Question: what is the safest and best solution to make the fifth wheel travel level behind the new truck. Note: the 5th wheel is a Shasta Phoenix

The best way for your 2016 Shasta Phoenix to ride level behind your 2019 F-350 is to use the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-385-00. This will change the springs from riding under your axles to riding on top of them. It will change your overall trailer height by the 3 inch axle diameter as well as the height of your leaf spring stack.

After that you will need to adjust the height of your 5th wheel hitch and your pin box to get the level ride you are seeking.
