Question:

I recently had a Roadmaster baseplate and Demco Stay-In-Play braking system installed on my 2019 Jeep Wrangler. Unfortunately, the cable they gave me to plug into my motorhome 2000 Tiffin Allegro isnt an exact match. On the Jeep, there is a 6-way round on the baseplate. The cable has a 6-way round to 7-blade. My motorhome has a 4-way round, which I have used a 4-round to 4-flat adapter previously on a tow dolly. Is it possible to go from the 6-round Jeep and 7-blade motorhome end of cable to a 4-way flat without losing some functionality? I cannot find a 4-way round to 7-blade adapter. Or, do I need to install a 7-blade receptacle on my motorhome and, if so, can I use the existing wiring to install it?

For your particular setup there isn't a single adapter available so your best option is going to be to just make your own using the Roadmaster 4-Wire Flexo-Coil Cord # RM-1064-B. This expands to over 8 feet to reach the distance between the RV and your Jeep and you can splice a 4-Round # PK11410 at one end and a 6-Round # PK11604 at the other to create the harness you need.

This will give you a nice clean setup where you don't have to worry about connecting a bunch of adapter each time you tow your Jeep.
