Hello, Someone is selling a Volvo rooftop carrier but the key for the lock is lost. The number I was given is EG190522. Is there a replacement key thats available for this carrier? Thanks

Volvo-branded cargo boxes were made by Thule and Thule lock and key replacement parts can be used. In order to select the correct replacement key you will need the lock number from the face of the lock core itself. I linked a picture to help show where to find this information. I could not find any details about the box using the number EG190522 so this may be a serial number or a Volvo number for the entire box. You need just the lock core number which is usually a letter and three digits. Once you know that you'll add those characters to the prefix THKEY _ _ _ _ to select the correct key.

It is also possible to replace the entire lock core with a new one that comes with its own new keys. Kit # TH450200 includes two matching lock cores, two keys, and the special control key to remove the current unlocked core and install the new core. The control key will remove the existing core as long as it is unlocked.
