How Do Bulldog Coolers Compare to Other Leading Brands Of Coolers Like Yeti
Updated 04/30/2019 | Published 04/27/2019 >
Question:
How does this Bulldog cooler compare to the leading cooler brands such as Yeti, Orca, Siberian, etc... I want to know if it has the same ice retention properties as other equally priced high end coolers. Also what kind of warranty do Bulldog coolers come with? Thank you for your help!

The Yeti, Orca and Siberian brands of coolers are designed with extra thick side walls and polyurethane foam filling that allows the coolers to keep their contents cold longer than their competition. The Bulldog Winch Cooler part # BDW80061 is built with 3 inch thick side walls that are polyurethane foam insulated to keep the cold in. The rubber gasket on the Bulldog cooler's lid creates a pressurized seal that has to be released with a release valve unlike the Yeti coolers that have complaints of the lid sticking. Some customers report they have to open the drain plug of the Yeti to release the pressure so they can open the lid.
I called Bulldog and the coolers have been tested for ice retention and keep ice up to 7 days compared to Yeti's 10 day guarantee. They did mention this depends on variables such as how many times you open it and how warm the temperature is in the environment where the cooler is stored. They do offer a 1 year warranty.
